BEE BEAUTIFUL BODY BUTTER
WHAT THEIR NOT TELLING YOU...
1- TRANSDERMAL TOXINS:
64% on your Skin, goes In your Body.
Whether you’re trying to reduce acne, diminish signs of aging, or simply stay hydrated You may buy into fancy packaging and a high cost, with ‘big name brands. You may also believe that the ingredients they use are completely harmless, but you have been fooled…
Studies have shown that Up to 64% of what is put on your skin, is absorbed directly into your body and bloodstream. We may want to dispute this when it comes to lotions and cosmetics, thinking that a product made for the face would never end up in your organs, but studies show different. I would like to point out a topic that has graced the nightly news on a regular basis the: Opioid Epidemic. Understandably, If the powerful effects of a 'Fentanyl (Opioid) Patch’, that is simply placed ON the skin, can have devastating effects on the human body, even causing death, then certainly it is not 'a stretch' to understand, what goes on your body ends up, in your body.

2- 'BIGGER' IS 'BETTER', the Quest for 'Plumped skin'.
Over the past few decades, we have had an obsession with seeking the Fountain of Eternal Youth through cosmetics and sought a magical elixir to take the years off, erase imperfections, and repair damage done by years of sun worship.
As pages of Fashion magazines present an unattainable standard of Beauty and trends of highly ‘plumped checks’ & ‘full lips’, we have sought a solution for plumping all our ‘kissable’ parts. We all know someone, with one of those ‘smoochy plump-lip’ shots on their social media page, and where there is demand for 'Plump', the cosmetic companies have supplied us with a way to achieve that 'look'.
Secret to 'Plump' = Propylene Glycol (Antifreeze)

The ‘miracle skin- plumper’ has arisen in the form of using Propylene Glycol (Antifreeze)in their products. When most of us think of Antifreeze we think about pouring the green liquid into our car when its overheating, and, yes, this is the ingredient I am referring to.
Banned in Canada and many European countries because of the irritation and damage it does to the skin. Truth be told, it does ‘plump’ your lips and skin, but not because its healthy, its ‘plumps’, because it is a poison that alters the structure of your skin and irritates to the point of swelling your tissue. Once blood rushes into your engorged tissue, then Propylene Glycol enters your bloodstream where it reeks further havoc on your health. In addition to be a known carcinogen, it causes brain abnormalities, liver and kidney damage, disrupts your hormones and can even cause infertility.
Surprisingly in addition to cosmetics, it is also used in makeup, toothpaste and deodorant. Still the EPA requires workers to wear protective gloves, clothing and goggles when working with it, but it’s an ingredient in many common products we use on our face, and even in our mouth.

Phthalates, Parabens & Preservation:
IE Formaldehyde
The second, third, and fourth most common hazardous ingredient used in may cosmetics, is one you would never want to associate with your morning ritual; Quarternium-15, Midazolidinyl Urea and DMDM Hydantoin, or in layman’s terms; Formaldehyde.(Derivatives).
Remember dissecting those frogs in school that were soaking in a chemical liquid? That frog in Science Class was 'forever preserved'' in Formaldehyde the same chemical morticians use to preserve corpses. Not surprisingly, these chemicals are linked to allergies, chest pain, chronic fatigue, depression, dizziness, ear infections, headaches, joint pain, and a host of other dis-ease. They weaken the immune system, and also; cause cancer.
The fourth and fith toxic ingredient, on our discussion list, were Banned by the European Union in 2003, is Phthalates and Parabens. While our products wait on the self to be used, These chemicals keep our products preserved, flowing smoothly, and the 'fluffs of mold' & bacteria from growing inside the bottle.
Both of these groups of products, are proven to be carcinogenic, opossed to celular activity, and are particularly linked to all breast cancer's.'

"Kills 99.9% of germs"....
The final chemical on my FYI list; is probably lurking inside your ‘Louis’ or your ‘man bag’ at this very moment, and it’s your hand sanitizer. I realize hand sanitizer is not a cosmetic, but my warning does not limit itself to only hand sanitizer, this product is used in any product that says it, “Kills germs”, If it ‘says antibacterial’, it probably has Triclosan in its ingredients.
This chemical is antibacterial ingredient that has been compared to ‘Agent Orange’ used in Chemical Warfare. The Environmental Protection Agency registers it as a pesticide, chlorophenol, and and as a chemical that eradicates all living organisms. It is classified with all cancer-causing chemicals. When used on the skin; it has been linked to paralysis, suppression of the immune system, brain hemorrhages, heart problems, hormone disruption, fertility, and birth defects. Yet Triclosan is widely used in antibacterial cleansers, toothpaste, and household products.

Why are these toxic, cancer causing ingredients allowed?

The list of toxic chemicals allowed in the U.S. is far too broad to discuss here, but where the, "European Union law bans 1,328 chemicals from cosmetics that are known or suspected to cause cancer, genetic mutation, reproductive harm or birth defects. The U.S. FDA has only banned or restricted 11 chemicals from cosmetics."
( EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009)

Unfortunately, the U.S. is lagging far behind, with the unemployment rate at a historic high, the U.S. consumerism drives corporate profit margins and presents, yet again, a 'plumped up' facade on economic poles. Therefore the FDA, and other governing bodies, have been allowed 'free rein,' as to what’s admissible in cosmetic ingredients sold in the United States.

With responsibility passed from the governing bodies, unto the Fortune 500 companies, releasing them from accountability and giving them the power to do whatever including; disguise harmful ingredients in pretty packaging to raise profits, and with beauty standards constantly heightening, as well as a need the consumers to drive economic forecast, my prediction is that; the chemicals will keep flowing into our products with no 'safe-haven' in sight.
